How can I find where a photo was taken?
Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP image, add any clues you know, and sign in to start the analysis. The photo location finder evaluates the scene and returns possible locations. A paid plan or lookup pack unlocks the map pin, coordinates and explanation.
Can this work without GPS or EXIF metadata?
Yes. The finder analyzes visible clues such as buildings, signs, terrain and vegetation. It does not require GPS metadata, so it can also analyze photos whose location tags have been removed.
How accurate is AI photo geolocation?
Accuracy depends on the image. Distinctive landmarks and readable signs provide stronger evidence than generic interiors or close-up portraits. Results are estimates, with a confidence score and supporting reasoning, and should be independently verified.
Which photos work best?
Choose a clear, wider view with landmarks, architecture, street signs or landscape features. Avoid heavily cropped, blurry or edited images. A known country or city can help narrow the search.
Is photo location search free?
You can sign in and preview the analysis. Location details require a paid plan or a one-time US$9 pack with 20 photo location lookups. The one-time pack does not renew and its location lookups do not expire.
Does this locate a person in real time?
No. This tool estimates the place shown in an uploaded photo. It cannot tell you when the photo was taken or where a person is now.
